Using the Screen Measurement Logger you can easily record the measurements you make using the Screen Calipers, Screen Protractor and Screen Compass. The Logger application is free, we're happy for you to use it indefinitely, but to get the most out of the tool we recommend purchasing the screen measurement applications themselves.
To use the Logger simply open the application and click the 'Connect' buttons to open the Calipers, Protractor and Compass.
The Current Measurement will be displayed in the Logger and these values will change as you measure different items with the Calipers, Protractor and Compass. When you want to save a measurement click the 'Log' button and the current measurement will be added to the grid below.
You can Save your results to a file, Copy the results for use in another application, print the results and export the results to Excel. The Logger is a great data collection tool that is especially useful for those of you who need to make a large number of on-screen measurements and record the results.
If you run into issues connecting the Logger:
First make sure that you are running the Screen Measurement Logger application as an Administrator (right click it and choose Run As Administrator).
Then see if the application can connect with Screen Calipers, Screen Protractor and Screen Compass.
If that does not work then set the Screen Measurement Logger application to run in compatibility mode with Windows.
Right-click the program's icon
Select Properties
Select the Compatibility tab
Check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for
Select the appropriate version of Windows from the drop-down list, try XP SP3
Click Apply and OK
Re-install the Calipers, Protractor and Compass. In some cases this seems to solve the issue.
