Photoshop use
Is this program suitable for making accurate slices in Photoshop? I understand that it does calibrate the measurements, but will it stay open so that I can use Photoshop to accurately match the measurements and do the slices?

Yes you can use the application with Photoshop or any other digital photo package, it's designed to float above any application and provide measurement capability.
