OK I found a couple of work arounds Firstly Firefox ismuch more friendly to ColorPic. But if you select the chip box then move your mouse over the colour in question then press Ctrl G you will get the colour pasted into that chip. Secondly for web colour generator to work you have go onto each colour chip then click copy for  both of the 2 - WebSnap and # then if you run the batch file & select the xml file - IE will "grumble about allowing scripts to run" allow refresh the screen then select the palette you just created.....
