I really like the e-mail protectr. Is there an issue with really long webaddresses or hyphened web addresses?

lywyllyn@thereally-longaddress.com turns into:

a href="mailto:lywyllyn@thereally-longaddress.com"lywyllyn@thereally-longaddress.com/a

Seems to work fine for me using Internet Explorer, are you having difficulties?

sorry, my brain fell out and I forgot to check for replies. Yes I am using Internet Exploder. I am trying to use some UBBs (Infopop) and my e-mail address shows up wrong.

I will test it again, and hopefully provide some better feedback.

Okay type Bob@yahoo.com the resulting code:

a href="mailto:bob@yahoo.com"bob@yahoo.com/a

gives me bob@yahoo.c om (with the space)

I am not sure how to show the raw code generated by your tool, so you only see "a href="mailto: ...etc etc

try a goofy e-mail address i.e. goofy_email@a-o-hell.com and then copy it in here ... the result is not what you would expect.

Ofcourse there is always room for gross user error ;-)

I've rechecked the Email Protector and it's working fine. Are you sure that you don't have a line break after you copy and paste the code?

yeah I either copy it directly into the Windows buffer or paste into a TXT file. Then I paste it into either here or some other post, all to no avail.

Its probably PEBKAC (problem exists between keyboard and chair) :-) .. I wish I could just figure out how to be smarter then keyboard :-( .. oh yeah I am using Win XP if that is any help (doubt it)

Well it doesn't work in this forum because I strip out all HTML tags, it's meant for text only. I also protect any email addresses that are displayed with javascript too.
