I have just downloaded Easy Read twice. I, too, cannot get it to work in IE 8. I have tried disabling AVAST (antivirus), and tried all suggestions previously mentioned. Does anyone have any additional information on how to get it to work properly? + and - buttons are available, but nothing happens when used. My operating system is Vista Home Premium.

Yes there are problems with IE8, however IE9 does have similar functionality already built in, see the bottom right of the status bar.
