Cannot extract de content of mails (Outlook Express). Here is what happens. I copy the files into a folder, and then run data extractor (Data extractor 3.3 - extract emails from files-binary option). But when it extracts the mails it only extracts the fields "for" and "to". I need the mails that are IN the mails, (bounces and mail delivery reports to debug my database).
Please help.
It only worked fine the first two times y ran it. But now I dosn't seem to work fine.

It seems that you have purchased the wrong piece of software, you need the Email Extractor, not the Data Extractor, they are two separate applications

I think I have the correct one. I want to extract the content of the mails, so I can know which mail is dead. But the program only extracts the to and for field.

Well the Email extractor can indeed extract the body of the emails. The Data Extractor only extracts email addresses from files.

Yes, I want to extract de data (information of the body) of the email. The program ran perfectly the first two times, extracted the emails from the body of the mail. But now it only extracts the for ant to field which is no use to me. How can I solve this. I need to extract again information from the body of the mails

Did you purchase it, because the trial is limited?

Yes, I purchased it. Maybe I'm not clear...
The program worked fine, but not anymore, does not extract mails from the body of outlook folders, (as explained in my first post). Please send instructions as if I were a 5 year old.

In that case you should download the software again and reinstall it, then restart your computer.

Done, still not working, I'm getting bizarre results... Still from and to field but not the mails from the body...

It does sound extremely bizarre that it suddenly stopped working. Can you try on a different machine?

Hi,
Please, do next:
- Check menu "About" are you use Email Extractor 2.6, if not download latest version from this web site.

- Open EE installation folder (default is C:\Program Files\Email Extractor 2\Settings)

- open the file "AddList.txt", are the addresses when you looking for inside ?

if "Yes" - setup your addresses filters in EE\Extract\Edit Filters

if "Not" sorry, I need more time to check all others

Which obvioulsy do not exist. I have checked the file messages and every one of them do contain a valid email address which is never listed on the results.
Some of them are, but I'm expecting to get more than 30,000 results. And I only get less than a hundred.

When the program runs I get on the "file scanned field section" something like this:
".....(5 results) which I think it means it is finding the email sender, the recipient, and of course its' duplicates. But the emails are never listed in the result area on neither computers.
If I clic on the file scanned for extraction section any file I do get to open it and check that indeed it contains a valid address I do not get on the result section, therefore it's impossible for me to export the result.

What about my last post?

These are probably emails that exist within the mail headers.

Ok, thosew mails are in the headers, but that doen's answer my question... Can you please be a little more specific? I don't seem to go anywhere...

You can save the results simply by pressing the 'Save' button on the 3rd tab.

Again to clarify this is for the 'Data Extractor' not the 'Email Extractor' and this message is posted in the wrong forum.
