Is there any chance of being able to measure area of a rectangle?? this would require the height and width of the measure area to be sized differently??

Currently the Screen Compass only measures regular polygons, and not rectangles. We do recognize that people may want to measure more irregular shapes and we have several ideas in the 'proof of concept' stage. We hope that these will coalesce into a product in the next few months.

I'm sorry that I do not have a more immediate solution for you.
