Monitor color measurement

I am trying to measure colors on a monitor using the Spectrolino handheld probe. I am using the emission setting. During calibration, the 'white' appears gray on the output screen and my subsequent monitor color measurements appear different than the original monitor colors. I am wondering if the calibration is causing this problem and how to fix it.

I'm not familiar with the probe that you're talking about, so I'm not sure exactly how to advise you. I'd use ColorPic to check the values for white and black on your screen, and then contact the manufacturer.
