ScreenCalipers on a LAN
Hi:
We're interested in Calipers to give us (local council) measuring ability on submitted plans which have been scanned into our eDMS.
Whilst deploying the trial it seemed to install OK but the normal user could not run the application as it crashed when it tried to access the registry.
It was installed by an Administrator Account but is run by a standard user accuont (which can not write to the registry)
Any ideas?

Perry,
Thanks for posting. You can allow individual users access to the registry by doing the following while logged in as the administrator:
1. Click the Start button in the bottom left of your screen.
2. Choose the 'Run...' option.
3. Type "regedit" and click OK.
4. Navigate to the folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Iconico
5. Right-click and choose 'Permissions...'
6. Click the 'Add' button and in the popup type the name 'Everyone' and then click 'OK'. You could also simply type your user's name.
7. With 'Everyone' selected click the 'Full Control' checkbox.

Thanks for that, works fine.
The Acrobat plugin is failing too though. From memory it's complaining that it can't find the DLL??

I did read that thread, but not closely enough (my appologies).
I think that is going to do it as the library was not installed.
Thanks,

Glad to hear it Perry, let me know if anything else crops up.

Hi,
on an XP 64Bit workstation the registry entry is different due to compatibility issues with 32Bit software:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Iconico\ScreenCalipers]
