Domain Extractor Basic - Gather Domains Screen
- this window has functionality for retrieving domains from a list of URLs.
The retrieval is based on regular expressions or based on user specificied patterns which means
that you can actually retrieve anything from any URL as long as you have the correct pattern.
You don't have to create the actual regular expressions if you don't want to because the program
does that for you when it comes to domains. You only have to specify how many characters the domain TLD
has (com has 3, ro has 2 etc) and the number of words the domains you're looking for are made of
(google.com has 1 word, mail.mydomain.com has 2 words).
- the retrieval of the information (in this case domains) from the URLs is done concurrentially (in the same time)
which means that the more retrieval processes you have, the less the speed of each retrieval process. The green bar at the right turns yellow
and then red depending on the number of retrieval processes signifying the application process load.
