Find duplicate files and search within files and folders

After you've installed the LookDisk you should find using the tool straightforward.
You can use the tips below to get the most out of the application.
Top Tips on Getting Started Using the LookDisk
1. To Find Duplicate Files
Click 'Find Duplicate Files' on the left. Click the checkboxes for
the drives that you want to scan or click 'Add' to add a specific folder.
Click 'Search' and after scanning the results will be shown.
2. To Delete Duplicate files
After finding duplicate files right-click with the mouse in the results
grid and click 'Delete' to delete the duplicate files that you no
longer need.
3. To Search for Text in Files
Click the 'Search Text' button on the left and press the 'Change' button at
the bottom of the screen to change the text to be searched. Click
the checkboxes for
the drives that you want to scan or click 'Add' to add a specific folder.
Click 'Search' and after scanning the results will be shown.
4. Find files
To find files based on filenames select the 'Find Files' button on the left
and enter the filename. You can use a * to signify a wildcard, so that
"*app*" will match "apple.doc" and "happy.doc". Results will be shown in
a grid after scanning is complete.
5. To not search specific folders
If there are certain folders that you want ignored while you are
searching then you can add these folders to the exclusion list.
Click 'Options' on the left side and then click the 'Exclusions' tab.
Click 'Add' to add a folder to be excluded in all of the searches.

use the software.
