Mailbox SDK
is a collection of application programming interfaces (APIs) for handling tasks
related to access to mailbox contents, like folders, emails, attached files of each
types of mail program: MS Outlook, MS
Outlook Express, Thunderbird and Eudora. You are using 5 simple MCore API
functions, and get access to different types of mailboxes files. There is no difference
with what email program your application works, you will not need to rewrite
code, if instead of MS Outlook
you decide to use Thunderbird.
The
principle of MCore API interfaces it is universality - leads all email programs
as a single, and your application using Mailbox SDK, just becomes universal and
independent.
Mailbox SDK
is the solution, which includes samples applications developed in C#, C++ and Delphi, so you can simply use a ready solution. If you do
not find the fact that you need, please let us know and we will help you.
Mailbox SDK
uses Mailbox concept to all files in which email programs store emails, such as
for MS Outlook ‘PST’ files, for MS Outlook Express ‘DBX’ files. When you meet
Mailbox word in our documentation, it should be understood that any file keeps
mails known Mailbox.
How to use MCore API?
Allow as to
offer you a few examples of samples:
Sample
1:Browsing folders and emails stored in the Mailbox
files:
We propose
to start familiarity with Mailbox SDK from consideration Mailbox Viewer
applications executed on the basis of MCore API.
The essence
of this example is the following: any email programs contains a hierarchy of
folders with the emails and attaches. The folders and emails stored in the
Mailbox file(s). Mailbox Viewer allows the user to select the Mailbox file
location and view the contents.
We have
implemented two examples of Mailbox Viewer:
Console VS
C++ application:
Mailbox SDK\Bin\MailView.exe
C#
application:
Mailbox SDK \Bin\OEView.exe
Win32
Delphi application:
Mailbox SDK\Bin\MailboxViewer.exe
Source codes these examples and additional
explanations to them you can find in the Mailbox SDK\Samples folder.
Sample 2: Store email copies in the files:
Example 2 illustrates Backup opportunities Mailbox
SDK, the user specifies desired and the Mailbox folder which should be placed copies
of the mail. The program retrieves all the mails and keeps them in separate
files. (The mails are stored in Email RFC format).
An example of such a program is here: Mailbox
SDK\Bin\MailboxBackup.exe
Source codes these examples and additional explanations
to them you can find in the folder Mailbox SDK\Samples.
Sample 3: Convert MS Outlook file to Email files:
Example 2 illustrates messages type conversion
futures. Please select any MS Outlook .PST file, and see how MCore library get
all mail messages from the selected .PST file, convert them to EML format and
store on disk drive.
An example of such a program is here: Mailbox
SDK\Bin\PSTToEML.exe
Source codes these examples and additional
explanations to them you can find in the folder Mailbox SDK\Samples.
