FAQ: Browser asks me if I want to open or save the file

One of our clients sent in the following help ticket:

Problem:

When I went to my website to open the form I created, the browser opened a message that said the file type php is associated with Microsoft Digital Image file. It asked me if I wanted to open or save the file - it didn't seem to know what application it should be associated with.

Solution: Website host didn't have proper PHP patch installed

We suggested that the website host might not have PHP on the server and therefore the browser - rather than rendering the PHP page as it should have - didn't know what to do with it.

This client is hosted with Earthlink. When he asked them about the PHP issue, they installed a patch which allowed the browser to display the form properly.

Note: SeaGreen requires that your web host has PHP 4.4 or higher.
