Screen Calipers won't launch in Mac 10.6

After using Screen Calipers for years, suddenly it quits unexpectedly on launch. Tried reinstalling, repairing permissions, etc. The only recent new software updates are the Security Update 2012-001 and Remote Desktop Client Update. Is there a preference file I can delete? Or anything else I can try? Thanks.

Screen Calipers won't launch in Mac 10.6

Exact same problem after the exact same security update. Reinstalling from PKG file didn't solve it, Tossing the pref file in my user >Library>Pref didn't solve it. Running repair permissions didn't solve it.

Any thoughts??

Screen Calipers won't launch in Mac 10.6

It seems the problem is with Security Update 2012-001 which kills Rosetta applications. Please see more about this here:
http://tidbits.com/article/12768

Since Screen Calipers for Mac needs Rosetta to run on Mac systems, I don't think we can do much to prevent this crash issue.

However in the article above you will see that there is a quick solution described which might work (there will be applications which might not work even after the fix is applied).

Sorry to report that RosettaFix, along with Repairing Disk permissions and restarting, did not work for me. If anyone gets it to work, please detail all steps taken.

Thanks.

Screen Calipers won't launch in Mac 10.6

Screen Calipers now working correctly in Mac OS X 10.6.8. Apple's latest Security Update 2012-001 (v 1.1) fixes the Rosetta issue.
