Window Nudger Help
Window Nudger

You can use Window Nudger to:

Move the currently selected window by using a user defined key combination. The default is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+ LEFT / RIGHT / UP / DOWN to move left, right, up or down. You can specify the number of units used to move the current window.

Modify the width and height of the currently selected window by using a user defined key combination. The default for modifying the width is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+A/D (A for decreasing the width D is for increasing the width). The default for modifying the height is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+W/X (W for decreasing the height and X is for increasing the height). You can specify the number of units used to modify the width and the height.

Cascade and Tile horizontally or vertically the currently opened windows using user defined key combinations. The default for cascading is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+E. The default for using the 'Tile' functionality is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+T (for horizontal tile) and CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+Y (for verticall tile). You can specify the distance between cascaded and tiled windows. You can also specify from which part of the screen the cascading should start: N, N-W, W, S-W, S, S-E, E or N-E.

Move the currently selected window temporarily to a user defined point on the screen and setting it to have a user defined size. The default key combination for this is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+S. Pressing this key combination again will make the window return to it's original position and size.

Drag the currently selected window anywhere on the screen by grabbing it with the mouse from anywhere inside the window. The default key combination is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+Z. After pressing this key combination (keeping the keys pressed) you can use the mouse to grab the window and drag it.

Drag the currently selected window by its top left corner by using a user defined key combination and the mouse. The default key combination is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+1 and it should be used in conjunction with moving the mouse which will cause the currently selected window to follow the mouse.

Hide the currently selected window or all opened windows. The default key combinations are CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+H (for hiding the current window) and CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+L for hiding all opened windows). Please not that Window Nudger will not be hidden since it contains all hidden windows in the "Hidden Windows" tab. You can then activate (show again) all or individual hidden windows.

Hide the currently selected window by dragging it outside the screen boundaries. You can define the position on the screen where the window will be hidden if it is dragged: N-W, S-W, S-E, N-E. You can also specify the X and Y values for how much a window must be outside the screen boundaries if it is going to be hidden.

Activate or deactivate any functionality which responds to a key combination by using the associated "Active" checkbox. You can also use the "Requires Activation" check box to specify that the associated functionality will be called only if the Activation key is ON. The default key combination for switching the Activation key to ON/OFF is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+K. The default key combination for enabling/disabling all functionalities in Window Nudger is CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+I. All these can be found in the first tab.

Specify your own key combination and save it for next time Window Nudger starts. You can do this for the currently selected tab or for all tabs by pressing the 'Save' buttons to the right. The 'Save' button is for saving the key combinations from the currently opened tab. The 'Save All' button is for saving the key combinations from all tabs.

Restore the default key combinations of Window Nudger by pressing the buttons to the right. You can restore default Window Nudger key combinations for the currently selected tab OR for all tabs.

Restore the initial key combinations of Window Nudger by pressing the buttons to the right. You can restore the initial Window Nudger key combination for the currently selected tab OR for all tabs. Initial means "from the last time the save button was pressed".
